Michael Blackson painfully ignored by GRA officials

Ghanaian- American actor, Micheal Blackson has recently made stern inquiries addressed to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) on account of why the costs of clearing goods in Ghana are so high.

The United States-based actor made allegations of the costs being unreasonable on his Twitter and Instagram pages as a result of being charged an outrageous amount to clear his goods via DHL in Ghana.

He initially came out to voice out his dissatisfaction towards the current state of the nation’s economy and gave a compendious history of how the Ghana Cedi is failing which he used as a premise for the hardships in the country, something he believed had a solution.

“Bad enough our money went from $1 to 5 cedis to $1 to 15 cedis. Our people are suffering and nothing is affordable for the poor locals. Let’s find a better solution to help our people of Ghana,” he wrote.

He termed Ghana and other countries facing severe economic hardships as “3rd World Countries” and regarded them as countries he is willing to speak and advocate for as one with a prominent identity.

“Thank you God for giving me a voice because I’m going to fight for the people in these 3rd world countries that are mistreated by their system.”

I shipped some old furniture by ship duty was $1500 that didn’t bother me, later I shipped my 2014 S class duty was $16k that didn’t bother me but 3 boxes of clothes sent thru DHL that cost me $10k and you want me to pay $10k to get it out? Now you going too far.

“I shipped some old furniture and the shipping duty was $1500; that didn’t bother me. Later, I shipped my 2014 S class with $16k duty and that didn’t bother me; but 3 boxes of clothes sent thru DHL that cost me $10k and you want me to pay $10k to get it out? Now you going too far,” he expounded with an intent to reveal how dumbfounded he is by the demands of the authorities involved.

The “Coming 2 America” star after a couple of hours took to his Twitter page once again and addressed the Ghana Revenue Authority for not receiving a response to the inquiry he made earlier.

“It’s been a whole day and no one has got back to me about why I shipped something thru DHL to Ghana that cost me $10k then custom got a hold of it and told my people they need $10k to retrieve it” he lamented.
