American-German-Ghanaian has spoken about her latest single release titled “We Dey” featuring Sister Deborah and how she single-handedly produced the song.

The “BLUR” hitmaker revealed during an interview with Akosua Hanson on the Y107.9FM’s YLounge that We Dey was a song she desired to write ever since the early days of the pandemic while in Ghana. “About four years ago, I had the melody and the hook in my head; I was in the house with my cousin; we kept on singing it for fun; and then I said I am going to turn that into a song one day.” she reminisced.

She tagged Sister Deborah as a “great addition” to the song and as she expected, Sister Derby joined her to write the lyrics and the chorus as a co-writer. The female duo were not stopped from birthing the song in 2021 despite the pandemic (Novel Corona Virus) that gripped the world and its restrictions. “We had a couple of virtual writing sessions and we linked up a few times to finish co-writing the song.”

The songwriter made it known in the interview that finding an affordable place to get the song produced was a challenge initially. Aside singing, the young artiste produces music. She pitched her ideas for the song’s production which was loved by Sister Deborah and trusted the music prodigy to be the producer of the song. “Initially we were actually trying to find somebody to produce the song; after a while it was just crazy prices; then I was like let me give it a shot. she loved my initial production ideas so I produced it.” She reiterated.

According to the young artiste, she went back to USA in the same year and took the song through some more production to make it a ‘solid’ piece. Some projected features of the song, she mentioned were featured instruments like the live guitar played by Napoleon.
