American rapper, Robert Rihmeek Williams, popularly known as Meek Mill, has apologised to Ghanaians and the Presidency for his video shoot at Ghana’s Flagstaff House.
The hip-hop rapper, took to his social media page to express how he felt about the allegations leveled against him by some Ghanaians with regards to his lack of respect for the presidential seat of Ghana.
Meek Mill was in Ghana in December 2022 to perform at AfroNation and made his visit to the Flagstaff House. The statement on his Twitter page clearly indicate that Meek Mill sought to bond with Ghana and had no intentions to disrespect.
He further stated as a 30 plus year old American based artiste that the customs and tradition of Ghana was rather obscure to him.
“To the people of Ghana, no video I drop is ever meant to disrespect the people of Ghana…the fastest way to make connection is through music and I wanted to do that with displaying art. I’m in my 30’s from America and didn’t know much about the lifestyle here.” words of the artiste who admired the nation Ghana and its heritage and rich creative art.

He finally rendered an apology to the presidential office of Ghana and posited a headstrong game to create a link between America and the African continent as the music video was only a part of his agenda. He therefore urged observers to anticipate the end results of his intended benevolent actions.
