Ghanaian representative at the 71st Miss Universe Pageant, Engracia Afua K. Mofuman begins competition with a strong statement during the National Costume Contest with a dazzling outfit.
The Miss Universe National Costume Contest was held in New Orleans, Louisiana as 86 contestants wore striking outfits that celebrated their respective cultures.
Dramatic headpieces, sheer material, and feathers were present in the most memorable outfits from the occasion.
According to the Insider’s report, Miss Ghana Engracia Mofuman attire made the cut for the wildest costumes from the contest.
Mofuman wore a ball gown, a trident, and a headdress, all made of gold.
The hemline of the gown, according to Miss Universe presenters, had engravings of Ghana’s first female warrior (Yaa Asantewaa) as she highlighted her cultural background.
Contestants who made the 62 list of wildest national costumes include, Miss Argentina Barbara Cabrera, Miss Armenia Kristina Ayanian , Miss Aruba Kiara Arends , Miss Bahamas Angel Cartwright, Miss Bahrain Evlin Khalifa and Miss Belize Ashley Lightburn among others.
