Bulldog joins in the Appeitus Saga; promises to take back every investment

Former artiste manager of music group, 5Five and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog has joined in on the heated discussion on royalties and payment sparked by legendary producer Appietus.

The music producer, Appiah Dankwah, also known as Appietus has been in the trends this week after his heated exchange with music group 5five – the group previously under Bulldog’s label, Bullhaus Entertainment, over royalties and foul play.

Appietus claims he was not paid for producing 5Five’s biggest hit ‘Muje Baya’ while the group debunked such claims as he claimed Appietus benefited hugely from the record.

“After recording the song, they told me they were going to show it to an investor, the next moment I heard the song playing on radio, they lied to me,” Appietus said in an interview on Citi TV.

In a similar accusation to that of his former manager Bullgod, the musician claimed that the producer was profiting from their tracks secretly by using digital streaming services.

Bullgod received an apology from Papi after the latter had earlier been accused of orchestrating the theft of money generated by the band’s music.

Reacting to the issue, Bulldog in a Facebook post clarified that even though Appeitus produced the songs, his business Bullhaus executive produced and promoted them, making them also their intellectual property. Hence, he has threatened to sue Appietus for foul play and unlawful publication of his group’s intellectual property.

“Appietus, you will pay for every Dollar you collected off my investments and you will pay with interest…You have been feeding your family and yourself with our investments for 10 years by selling 5Five songs – executive produced and promoted by Bullhaus Entertainment on digital platforms globally without our permission – Get ready -Time to pay up. You will hear from our counsellors,” the post read.
