Afia Schwarzenegger would now be an online spectator and watch on as her colleagues and other netizens indulge in ‘heated’ arguments.
The Tema High Court of Ghana has reportedly banned controversial Ghanaian socialite, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, from engaging in any form of insults, attacks and ‘beefs’ on social media.
She was has fined an amount of GH¢60,000 (5,000 penalty units) in a contempt case pending before the court.
She will be sentenced if she doesn’t follow the regulations set forth, according to Lawyer Maurice Ampaw in a recent interview with Ghanaweb’s Abrantepa.
“This is the latest news, and this is more painful. Afia ought to be monitored by every single Ghanaian on social media. If she engages in social media insults or beef, the court said that we should arraign her before court for another sentence,” Lawyer Ampaw shared.
“Afia is also banned from engaging in social media beefs, insults, and attacks for two years. If she engages in a social media brawl, she should be brought back,” he added.
The Ghanaian socialite is reported to have also signed “a bond of good behaviour for another two years and failure to do so, she should be brought to court for punishment.”
This comes after an earlier court case was brought against Afia Schwarzenegger and others by Chairman Wontumi after they commented on a pending case during an entertainment show broadcast on UTV in July 2022. Three other individuals were fined GH¢60,000 each, which they have paid. The Executive Producer of UTV was pardoned by the court after showing remorse and apologizing on UTV.
