The king of Ghanaian night life, Jonny Stone, has been unveiled as the new host of your favorite weekend show on Y 107.9 FM, the ‘Weekend Rush’.
Jonny Stone who has established himself as a charming and well sought after entertainer brings to the table a wealth of experience to take the show to a whole new level.
He takes over from Kokonsa Kester who has over the years nurtured and built the show to attain its status as one of the most listened to weekend entertainment shows.
Commenting on his assumption of the role as host of the ‘Weekend Rush’ show, Jonny Stone stated; “I am honored to be have been chosen amongst the lot to take over the show. I will bring to bear my vast knowledge in the media space and support the show, and I pledge to deliver my utmost best to build the show to its peak.”
Jonny Stone appealed to the crew of ‘Weekend Rush’ and management of Y 107.9 FM to keep supporting the ‘Weekend Rush’ show unwaveringly.
Programmes Manager of Y 107.9 FM, Eddy Blay Jr. welcomed Jonny Stone to his new role and pledged his unflinching support and that of the brand’s management in making sure he (Jonny Stone) executes his mandate effectively and efficiently.
The Weekend Rush is a three-hour show on Saturday and Sunday which airs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Show seeks to entertain, educate and inform its listeners about good music and happenings in the world of entertainment.
The show also unearths underground artistes by providing them with the spotlights on the show. A lot of new artistes have had a pass on the show where they get their first interviews, with some musical greats also sharing their stories on the show.
Rex Omar, Kofi Jamar, Kobla Jnr, Stanley Enow ( Cameroon), Appietus, Tzy Panchak (Cameroon), Tic Tac, Reggie Rockstone, Prince Bright, JMJ and Kaywa are a few names to have appeared on the ‘Weekend Rush’ show.
