Internationally recognized rapper, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has opened up about his decision to give fans ownership in shares of his music.
With over 20 years of active music, and gaining recognition from all parts of the work the rapper has garnered the attention and love of people all over there world. Sarknation stands one of the most populated fanbases in Ghana.
Sarkodie made the big announcement on his X page, praising his fan base and expressing elation over this opportunity to also reciprocate love to his fans. “I’ve been wanted to do this for the longest because I’m blessed to have the best fam base in the world.”
The ‘Otan’ hitmaker explained that the initiative was made possible through a partnership with Opulous App which will systematically distribute a percentage of his upcoming mixtape, titled #TheChampionshipMixtape, to members of his fan base.
The move will give devoted fans the opportunity to share ownership of music on the mixtape with Sarkodie.
Sarkodie becomes the first artist in Ghana to introduce this initiative and has been praised by many netizens on X.
