ICGC The Royal Temple, Awoshie–Anyah, as part of its 28th Anniversary Celebration has donated food and essential items valued at over Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC50,000) to the Akropong School for the Blind on Saturday, 14th February 2026.

According to Rev. Samuel Awuku-Gyekye ( senior pastor of The Royal Temple and regional overseer for Accra West) Running a school for persons with disability is a demanding responsibility, particularly in a nation where limited resources must be distributed among many pressing needs. Institutions such as the Akropong School for the Blind require consistent support from churches, organizations, and individuals to ensure the smooth running of the school and the proper upkeep of students. In recognition of this need, The Royal Temple has chosen to mark its anniversary not only with thanksgiving but also with practical compassion.

The items presented include:
Bags of rice
Gallons of cooking oil
Soft drinks
Packs of sachet water
Packs of toilet rolls
Packs of paper hand towels
Sanitary pads
Gallons of liquid soap
Washing powder soap
Bar soap
Tomato paste
Boxes of Tom Brown

The donation, estimated at over GHC50,000, is expected to significantly support the feeding, hygiene, and general welfare needs of the students and staff of the school.

This initiative reflects the church’s commitment to holistic ministry — preaching the Gospel while also demonstrating the love of Christ through tangible acts of kindness. The Royal Temple continues to uphold its mandate of community impact and social responsibility as an expression of its faith. During their 25th anniversary 3 years ago, the Church visited the same school and made donations of items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to support the day to day running of the school.

ICGC The Royal Temple is a branch of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), located at Anyah Market, Awoshie, and is pastored by Rev. Samuel Awuku-Gyekye. Over the years, the church has remained devoted to spiritual growth, community transformation, and meaningful outreach initiatives.

The 28th Anniversary celebration therefore stands not only as a milestone of gratitude to God but also as a practical demonstration of compassion to society.
