The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a four-day planned maintenance exercise that will result in temporary power outages in several communities within the Accra West Region.
The exercise will run from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13, 2026, with power interruptions expected between 9am and 5pm on each scheduled day.
ECG says the maintenance works are intended to improve service delivery and the reliability of electricity supply to customers in the affected areas.
Areas affected on Monday, August 10
Customers in Nyamekye, Mab Hospital, Darkuman and surrounding areas will experience a temporary power outage from 9am to 5pm.
Areas affected on Tuesday, August 11
The Tuesday outage will affect ACP Estate, Aboum, Tabora Nos. 3, 4, 5 & 6, Alhaji Trotro Station, Tantra Hill, Lartebiorkorshie Methodist, Yasako Press, Doblo, Bungalow, Hebron, Medie, Samsam, Korleman and surrounding areas.
Areas affected on Wednesday, August 12
On Wednesday, the planned maintenance will affect Akweteyman, Amasaman and surrounding communities between 9am and 5pm.
Areas affected on Thursday, August 13
The Thursday exercise will affect Lartebiorkorshie Methodist, Yasako Press, Adeiso, Maame Dede, Annoff, Okrase, Mandela, SCC, Sunny Coast, Korkordzor, Kinshasha, Red Top, Ajasco and surrounding areas.
ECG has advised customers in the affected communities to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled outages.
The company has also apologised for the inconvenience the temporary interruptions may cause as it carries out the planned maintenance works.
