Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), the parent company of leading radio brands YFM and Happy FM, has secured six nominations at the 2026 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEAUSA), highlighting the strength and impact of its talent across radio, media production and entertainment.
The nominations span the Media Producer of the Year, Radio Royalty of the Year, Hypeman/MC of the Year and DJ Act of the Year categories, with two nominees representing Happy FM and four representing YFM.
Representing Happy FM are accomplished radio producer Lawrenda Danso, nominated for Media Producer of the Year, and radio personality Akua Sika, who has earned a nomination for Radio Royalty of the Year.
Lawrenda Danso is the producer of Happy FM’s Ayekoo Evening Drive, which airs on weekdays from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. With years of experience in the radio production landscape, Lawrenda has played an important behind-the-scenes role in shaping engaging radio content and supporting the delivery of programmes that connect with audiences.
Her nomination recognises her sustained contribution to radio production and the creative work that goes into developing and executing compelling broadcast content.
Akua Sika, meanwhile, continues to make her mark as the host of Happy FM’s Happy Evening Drive. She has become recognised for her energetic presentation style, entertainment coverage and strong connection with listeners.
Representing YFM are four accomplished media and entertainment personalities: Reginald Tetteh, PM The Presenter, DJ Kess, and Princess Ahenkan Ankomah, popularly known as Princess AJ.
Reginald Tetteh has been nominated for Media Producer of the Year, recognising his extensive contribution to radio production at Y107.9FM. Over the years, he has worked across several of YFM’s major programmes, including Shouts On Y, which airs weekdays from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, Y-Campus Xpress on Saturdays from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and Dryve of Your Lyfe, which airs weekdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
PM The Presenter, an accomplished broadcaster, hypeman and master of ceremonies, has been nominated for Hypeman/MC of the Year. Based at Y97.9FM in Takoradi, PM is known for his work on Dryve of Your Lyfe, which airs weekdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, while also maintaining a strong presence across Ghana’s events and entertainment space.
Award-winning DJ and music executive DJ Kess has earned a nomination for DJ Act of the Year. She currently is the DJ for YFM Accra’s Dryve of Your Lyfe alongside Princess AJ, with the show airing Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. Her nomination reflects her contribution to Ghana’s urban music culture and her growing influence within the entertainment industry.
Also nominated for Radio Royalty of the Year is Princess AJ, an entertainment broadcaster, talent manager, hypewoman, MC and A&R executive with over a decade of experience across Ghana’s media and entertainment industry. She currently hosts Dryve of Your Lyfe on YFM, airing weekdays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, where she continues to connect with young audiences through entertainment, pop culture and lifestyle content.

The 2026 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 6:00pm at the Avenue Event Center in New Jersey, bringing together Ghanaian and African creatives across music, film, media, digital content, fashion and the wider creative arts.
