YFM Kumasi’s promise to bring a fun filled lake side party experience to its big audience was delivered with swag as it’s maiden edition of the lake side concert took place at Ankaase on Easter Monday, 2nd April.
The event, put together by YFM in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority and sponsored by Kasapreko Ghana Limited saw thousands of fun lovers in attendance as they watched and enjoyed performances from Mr. Jace, actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, VGMA 2017 Best rapper nominee, Eno Barony, Yaa Pono of Uptown Energy and 2017 VGMA Hip-life award winning artiste, Flow King Stone.
Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win opened the show with a great entry which was well received with loud cheers from the audience. As though effortlessly, he served the crowd with hits singles including Mama Boss Papa, Ladder and a couple more in an energy filled display. He also did not not miss the opportunity to flex his wallet as he flew a couple of GHC 50 to sections of the crowd.
Fresh from her Best Rapper nomination, and the first of its kind for a female, Eno took her turn on stage and treated the audience to a stellar performance. Special mention to her dancers, they had crowd screaming all through to their synchronised moves.
In between the performances were perfect mashup sessions from DJ Slim, DJ Lexes with Kwame Scientific, NYDJ, PapJay and Mensa Jnr pumping up the crowd.
Yaa Pono’s “We Bad” signature kept echoing to a distant as he continuously swelled up the euphoria on stage to his tits.
Flow King Stone was last to turn to shut the show down. Was there any of his songs the crowd couldn’t sing along? None! Absolutely no single one, from Simple (2009) to Bronya Ade (2017), the crowd just had their timings right as though they rehearsed the stunt.
