Ghana Menswear Week Replaces Accra Mens Fashion Week

Accra Men’s Fashion Week (AMFW), Ghana’s premier and only men’s fashion week event has rebranded to Ghana Menswear Week #GHMW.
This is in line with organizers vision of bringing a ‘’National feel’’ to this one of a kind platform dedicated to the development and promotion of menswear within the country and the African continent as a whole in their effort to use fashion as tool to promote and drive Ghanaian tourism on the international market as it is done in other parts of the world.
Launched in 2016 by Fame Model Management, GHMW aims to provide a visible and authentic platform for menswear designers and other brands targeting men to showcase their latest collections and products to fashion lovers, buyers, media and the general public.
“Our long term vision is to be the leading platform in terms of innovation, trends, production and most importantly, the promotion of our showcasing brands each year who are a selection of talented Ghanaian and international designers and models to present the latest trends in fashion and accessories for men’’ says Nana Mensah, Founder of GHMW.
The 2019 edition, the fourth in the series is expected to host models and designers from around the world in July for the 3 days fashion fiesta in what can only be described as #thestylemanexperience paying homage to men with style in Ghana and beyond.
The event will also debut its ‘’STYLE MAN PROJECT’’ to unearth, nurture and manage young and creative upcoming designers in the Menswear segment and help project their creativity worldwide.
The top three (3) finalists from a shortlist of five (5) will be giving the opportunity to showcase their creations on the runway on day one of the menswear week after which one ultimate winner will be awarded with a travel opportunity to participate in an international fashion week outside Ghana.
