Popularly known as NY DJ in the showbiz space, Ebenezer Donkoh is a multiple award winning broadcast journalist and radio host of RYSENSHYNE, Kumasi’s biggest breakfast show on Y102.5FM.
Before signing to Global Media Alliance on 2014, NY DJ worked with Imperial Broadcasting (Kapital Radio) for four years where he served as the drive time host.
Before then, he had worked with KNUST Campus based radio station Focus FM where he served in various capacities.
A product of Kumasi Academy, NY DJ grabbed a degree in Modern Languages at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He has since been working in the media space sharing and impacting knowledge especially to the youth.
Aside radio, NY DJ works as a multi-platform content curator creating content for YouTube and www.nydjlive.com. He is the CEO of NYDJLive Media, a marketing communications company reputed for delivering results in the field of PR, Brand Development, marketing among others.
NY DJ is also a Ghanaian ambassador for global phone application Truecaller.
With a taste for excellence, NY DJ has received recognitions from very reputable institutions both local and abroad including Advance Media who named him among the Top 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians. In 2018, he was again named among the Top 50 Ghanaian Bloggers.
He’s also received several nominations including Best Radio Personality Ashanti Region at the Radio, Television Personality Awards, Favourite Journalist at the People’s Celebrity Awards, Ghana Events Awards, Ghana Music Awards, South Africa, Entertainment Media Personality of the Year – Hyperlink Media Awards and many others.
