Unlimited Empire’s Sunshine Soldier has premiered a new record titled Susu.
The record which features YBlaq was produced by MOG.
Born Dzade Daniel Korku, Sunshine Soldier hails from Ave Akpe in the Volta region and was raised in Ashaiman – one of Ghana’s inner communities.
As a young kid growing up in Ashaiman, Sunshine Soldier reckons being held up with several realities of a rapidly urbanizing community- inadequate utilities, slums and more
cutting him out on certain possibilities in life. Music for the most part of his lífe is what kept and still keeps him ambitious, hence his decision in 2016 to pursue it officially,
after several years of experimenting with it.
Since this tum around decision, Sunshine Soldier has churned out a number of songs, built a teeming fan base, catching the brows of several industry
insiders like MOG (producer), Stonebwoy, and REX who directed his latest collaboration with YBLAQ titled SUSU.
Starting out as an artiste, Sunshine Soldier was privileged to have experimented many sounds, genres and styles.
At a point in time in his unoficial career, even before the name Sunshine Soldier he was a rapper. His quest to gradually find and chart for himself his own path-a path he can
identify and be comfortable with-led him in the discovery of his singing talent, which he now blends with everything he creates. For the purposes of having to choose a specific genre,
sunshine soldier identifies as an Afro-Dancehall artiste. In this space, he looks up to artistes like Masicka, Vybz Kartel, and Bounty Killer who are said to be formulators of. All of this not
withstanding, he believes in versatility and the ability to create depending on moods and inner feelings, factors he describe as deeper and essential than music genres.
Sunshine Soldier believes in dressing to identify where he is from, what he does and where he is headed. The hustle according to him, is not about making
money alone, but also living right. In addition to his collection of jewelries, he also has a keen eye for accessories that compliments his naturally locked
hair.
