Stonebwoy enskinned in Tamale as #Sapashini (Dancehall Warrior)

Stonebwoy has been enskinned by the Paramount Chief of Tamale, Gukpegu Naa (Naa Alhaji Abdulai), as the “Dancehall Warrior” of Ghana, which in Dagbani locally translates as “Sapashini”. Close sources reveal that, the Paramount Chief hardly enskins people and when he does, it means he highly reveres the personality who visits him.
Gukpegu Naa is his own words says, “Stonebwoy has been a powerful force that fights to defend his turf in the music industry. He uses his music as a tool to defend the weak and oppressed; he is a warrior. He is the Sapashini of Dancehall — Dancehall Sapashini.”
Stonebwoy and his Burniton Music Group (including his Manager, Sidi Mohammed, otherwise known as ‘Blakk Cedi’, his official jock, Dj Justice, his Sound Engineer, Beatz Dakay) also made a courtesy call on Dakpema at his palace after a rousing welcome at the Paramount Chief’s palace earlier.
Stonebwoy landed in the early hours of Friday, August 26th (a day ahead of his mega concert due at the Tamale Sports Stadium) and had a historic welcome with over 5,000 fans who thronged the airport and the streets to welcome him to town — watch video snippet
Stonebwoy’s message of peace when he landed in Ghana at the Kotoka International Airport:
“Many other artistes have done peace songs, and I respect that because they are all for a good purpose to promote and accentuate the need for us to maintain peace always. No disrespect but I don’t necessarily need to do a peace song to drive the message across. Even though this year I haven’t done a peace song (yet), I believe my hit single #RunGo sends a strong message and a caution word to all and sundry why we should maintain calmness, love and unity among us. Where are we gonna ‘Run Go’? Already, I’m using the Tamale concert as a start off point to drive that campaign. I think most of y’all saw me tweeting about that already”, he said.
Stonebwoy however seeks to address issues between Macassio and Fancy Gadam (who is headlining the Tamale concert with him) — the two budding Northern artistes are said to have some rivalry between them and Stonebwoy is hopeful of ironing that between them as he seeks to do a collabo song with them.
