Quiz Mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Professor Elsie Effah Kaufmann has revealed she derives satisfaction by contributing positively to influence the lives of other individuals, especially the girl child.
Talking to Rev Erskine on Y107.9 FM’s Y Leaderboard Series, she made it known that, “I always want to inspire people around me get to the heights they desire and this is why I always give great contributions especially, to students I teach”.
Calling herself a pioneer, she added, “most of the time, I derive a lot of satisfaction when I am able to do and contribute to something”. For this reason, she makes herself accessible and draws people towards her”.
With her passion to contribute to the growth of women and break the glass ceiling, she serves as a mentor to many of them. “I come into contact and mentor a lot of women, both old and young. I hope by sharing my story with them, they know it is possible and can do anything they set their minds*on*”.
“I always make myself available for my mentees and it is worth it”, she mentioned.
She advised young women to be determined and undertake proper planning if they want to achieve their goals.
