Here are the highest-paid players at each Serie A club, with Cristiano Ronaldo earning more than the top earners from 16 other teams combined. The list also includes Mario Balotelli, Romelu Lukaku, Franck Ribery and two African stars.
Ronaldo remains the league’s highest-paid player after joining Juventus in 2018. He is believed to earn a massive €57.41 million (R957 million) before tax per year, according to capology.com.
The Juventus superstar is followed by Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who both pocket about €11.11 million (R185 million) annually.
Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku now earns €9.62 million (R160 million) a year at Inter Milan, while Edin Dzeko receives €9.23 million (R154 million) annually from AS Roma.
Radja Nainggolan is believed to earn €5.56 million (R93 million) after returning to Cagliari ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, while former Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is understood to have signed a deal worth €5.13 million (R86 million) a year with Fiorentina.
Further down the ranking is Mario Balotelli, who receives €1.92 million (R32 million) annually with Brescia after joining the club in the city where he was born in the previous transfer window.
Only Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi and Lecce’s Khouma Babacar, with annual earnings of €1.85 million (R31 million) each, as well as Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul, with his yearly salary of €1.48 million (R25 million), appear below the controversial striker in the ranking of the top earners per club in Serie A – you can see the complete list, which is based on gross salaries (before taxes) as listed by capology.com, in the gallery above!
