American singer, Billie Eilish together with some of her ‘Box Office’ heroes and a group of scientists, have called on world leaders to take “urgent” action on the global effects of climate change.

In a video posted on the Twitter handle of the University of Exeter, the ‘Bury a friend’ hit maker stated that there was a need to take collective decisions on the climate emergency, and save the planet for the next generation.

“This year our leaders are deciding the global actions required on the environment climate emergency in a critical decade for our planet. We must stand together and speak up to save our planet, not just for us, but for our future generations. We need urgent action now and to work together as one,” she said.

Wilson, who starred in Eilish’s all-time-favorite show, also added in a video message posted by the University of Exeter, saying world leaders currently needed courage to take decisions which will be important to the planet’s history.

“Courage, that’s what our world leaders need more than anything. Their decisions on the climate crisis in the next decade are the most important decisions in our planet’s history,” he added.

Last month, Billie Eilish was among a group of celebrities who banded together to urge Congress to support President Biden’s “Build Back Better” climate protection plan as part of the #CodeRedClimate initiative.

She added her voice to the climate conversation once again towards the COP26 global climate summer which will kick off in Glasgow on Sunday, October 31 and run through November 12, 2021.

Experts have tagged this as one of the last, best chances for world leaders to commit to the vital steps needed to slow down rising global temperatures.

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell, born December 18, 2001, is an American singer and songwriter and multiple-time Grammy awards winner. She first gained public attention in 2015 with her debut single “Ocean Eyes”, which was subsequently released by Darkroom, a subsidiary of Interscope Records. The song was written and produced by her brother, Finneas O’Connell, with whom she frequently collaborates on music and in live shows.
