The youth-targeted NPP campaign, COLOURS GHANA, was launched in August 2016 to encourage Ghana’s future leaders to do something truly revolutionary; make their voices heard, and make an unwavering stand for positive change.
It is now exactly thirteen (13) days to Ghana’s presidential election, and the team’s newest message, #ToAbaPa, could not be any clearer. It is time for the people of Ghana to take power into their hands and vote for the change that they have been craving. All of the anger and despair that the nation has felt about the current state of the economy, about the energy crisis (dumsor) that has resulted in the collapse of many businesses, about unemployment and increased corruption, and about the uncertainty of our futures, must be translated into votes that speak loud and clear: That the people of Ghana are ready for new leadership under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government.
Come December 7th, many people have already decided on who they will vote for, but there are still those who are either undecided or disinterested in exercising their right to vote. Not only is this unacceptable, but it is also irresponsible.
The truth is that we live less than average lives with less than average goals. The truth is that we can be so much more than we currently are as individuals and as a country.
Do you know who you are? Do you realize your value and the power that you hold in your thumb? Do you know that you deserve a good life and a good job? You deserve a stable economy, opportunities to grow, and an education and healthcare system that actually work.
You are part of an equation, and you must do your part in this journey to progress through change. The youth of Ghana must unite and decide that enough is enough.
Your vote is your voice. It is your power and your revolution, and the time to use it is now.
Vote for NPP. Vote for your FUTURE. Vote for CHANGE.
