The Annual Emerging Music Awards 2022 took place at Snap Cinema inside Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) on the 28th of October 2022.
The 4th edition of Emerging Music Awards gave the Ghanaian music culture a chance by Awarding 29 Emerging Musicians in the music industry, Vanilla won the Artiste of the Year, Jzyno picked the Afro Pop Artiste and Song of the Year, Longlife picked the Song of the Year award, Ruth Ackaah-Gyasi won the album/Ep of the year, Prophet Joseph Atarah won Gospel Artiste while Royal Mama won Gospel Song of the Year.
The show performances included Mestar Oscar, Vanilla, Jzyno, Selasie Brown, Ekow Marvel, sandy Global, Prophet Joseph Atarah and Kophi Mystro.
Award-winning Gospel Minstrel and Entrepreneur Jayana hosted the Give the Music a Chance Biggest Awards Night Red Carpet Cocktail Party whiles Mc Pato and Theresa Weyerane Adiali were the Hosts for the Emerging Music Awards 2022 ceremony.
The CEO of Kusstar Entertainment and founder of Emerging Music Awards admonished the industry gatekeepers and well-established personalities in the music industry to support these Emerging Musicians to enable us to Give the Music a Chance because Emerging Musicians are the future of our Generational music. Black sheriff who won the Artiste of the Year in the 2021 edition is now raising the flag of Ghana on the globe, and one can not mention the names of the new crop of Musicians in our Gospel Genre without mentioning Jayana’s Name.
Fred Kyei Mensah a Renowned Sound Engineer relieved the DOCTOR CANN MERIT AWARDS. The Doctor Cann Merit Award goes to a personality who has helped to either create, promote, and generate impact for Ghanaian music. we believe this honorary will help in remembering our business partner Doctar Cann and his support to the scheme and Emerging musicians.
