Celebrating mothers shouldn’t be occasionally because I celebrate you each time even though I don’t make it obvious. There is no perfect way to be a mother because each passing second is unique. Each mother has different challenges, skills and abilities and above all different CHILDREN. What matters is being able to perform your responsibility as expected even without expecting credit in return. As children we would choose you over and over if we are to come back to this world without giving it a second thought. Words can’t express the stream of joy that flows through our heart but your reward is in heaven for having a positive influence on us not forgetting how you right wrong by ‘spanking’ us. When I was 16, my mother bought me shorts and I said I will not wear it because I had skinny unhealthy legs. So she asked, “Which of your friends have the healthiest legs?”. I responded, “Okyeame Quophi”. So she said, “Okay, run to his house and ask to use his legs to wear your shorts for a while and come back to tell me what he says to you” I knew that was rhetorically sarcastic. So from that day I learnt that I had to appreciate. But i have. Thank you Mum, for building my confidence. Happy Mother’sDay! Are you wondering where I am in this photo?
