Ghana’s number one urban radio, YFM has cemented and brought a whole new definition to Valentine’s Day.
The youth-centric radio station on the event of Valentine’s Day organized a vals day activation dubbed ‘YFM Valentine’s Day’ to celebrate the day of love with its listeners.
The event which took place at the Accra Mall food court was super packed with a hybrid of live band performances and disk jockeying.
With its mission of creating a platform for underground artists, YFM kicked started the event with performances from Rabble Armani and Sugalord who both left imprints on all present.
The Dano dare booth which piqued the interest of most was the ultimate test of love.
Couples who entered the booth really proved that they were ready to go above and beyond for their lovers. They completed dares in record times and proved that true love still existed.
Johnny Stone and Kester were saved by the angelic voice of Akosua Hanson when the two decided to be the first to open the karaoke session of the event. Subsequent performances had everyone present singing along and enjoying themselves.
The night became better with the next big thing in Ghana, Camidoh treating those present to his hit single ‘For my lover’ and a host of others. Dark Suburb, Tneeya and Kobla Junior who would not be left out serenaded patrons with quality music.
Present at the event, Programs Manager of YFM, Eddy Blay Jnr stated, “it is soo much better to celebrate love with a long table. And love has indeed reigned supreme today. We at the big Y are glad we celebrated Valentine with our listeners. It was a great time and worth repeating.”
Eddy went on to thank his team and listeners for the solid work done and support YFM received on the occasion.
