Fast rising Ghanaian musician, Matthew Amatey Williams Jr as part of his rebranding efforts has now adopted the stage name OKLAY.
The music act who was formerly known by fans as OkayMusic admitted that his former name has played a huge part in his growth in the Ghanaian music scene; he however believes it is time for change.
Sharing reasons for the name change, Matthew said, “like everything in life though, change is constatnt. I decided to get back in touch with my roots to create a marriage between my lyrical choices and what my name represents”.

OKLAY which is sourced from Ga-Adamgbe means “You are Big”.
He added the need to make his music accessible to fans and build a seamless connection between his music and fans also influenced his decision.
OKLAY’s rebranding comes with a new release dubbed “Mistake”.
