Branch Manager for Databank, Tema, Abdul-Hakim Al-Hassan, has talked about the importance of good personal financial management to young adults starting their financial journey.
In an interview with Rev. Erskine on Y107.9FM’s Myd-Morning Radio Show, he noted that as young adults starting their financial journey, it is extremely important to have good personal financial management because in the long run, it helps to attain financial independence.
He explained, “When you start to manage your personal finances as a young adult, you would have a better perspective of where you want to spend the money and how you would want to spend it. This can help you with budgeting when it comes to increasing your savings or your investments”.
“For a young adult, you cannot go without having a personal financial management plan because with it, you’ll be able to learn how to manage your money to achieve what we call financial independence”, he further explained.
Abdul-Hakim advised that young adults have the advantage of time to gain financial independence, hence, it is important not to waste it and create a good personal financial management plan as a guide to reaching that goal.
