Adekunle Gold, one of Nigeria’s finest afropop, RnB/ Soul artistes, has shared his own critical analysis of the story of King David and Bathsheba which he says inspired his song ‘Sinner’.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel on YFM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe, AG declared that for Bathsheba to have been so irresistible even to King David, then he is almost certain that she may have been an African woman.
“With how David risked it all when he saw Bathsheba having a shower and he thought that this woman is beautiful, went to her and they had the affair, when I was thinking about the story, I said first of all Bathsheba must be an African woman because for that beauty to be irresistible, then she must be”, he said.
The singer confessed that if he was King David, then Simi would definitely be his Sheba and that is why he chose no one but her for his music video.
The music video to Adekunle Gold’s song ‘Sinner’ featuring American singer, Lucky Daye has already hit a million streams and is trending number 16 on YouTube after its release barely 24hours ago. The video depicts romantic scenes between the couple that makes any singleton want to fall in love.
