The long wait is over as the finals of the Rapture competition will come off on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Accra Mall Food Court at 7pm sharp.
The Rapture contest which was launched a few months back has seen contestants thrill listeners with sick bars and dope tunes and the finals promises to be super.
Deciding who wears the crown of ‘Rapture King’ is going to be a tedious and delicate task and for that, the YFM team has put together a respectable team of industry experts as judges for the finals battle.
Judges for the night will be Black Avenue boss D-Black, Kwaku T, a leading Ghanaian Hip-Hop artiste and ace broadcaster and talent manager, Kwame Farkye.

D-Black is a Ghanaian multiple award-winning Hip-hop and Afrobeat musician, entrepreneur, philanthropist & venture capitalist from Ghana, Africa.
Through his musical journey, D-Black has been nominated for over 59 awards worldwide and won 23 of these awards since then including the 2011 BET Awards. He continues working on his journey as a musician. ‘

D-Black is the owner of the Black Avenue Muzik record label. The record label is considered to be one of Ghana’s most renowned record labels & music studios. The record label has the renowned producer, DJ Breezy. They work with the award-winning acts such as Sefa and upcoming rappers such as Ms Forson, Osayo & sultry female rapper Nina Ricchie.
Born Kwaku A. Tutu to Ashanti parents, Kwaku-T is one of Ghana’s leading hip hop artists. The internationally known talent has shared stages with stars like Monica, Lil Jon and Keith Sweat. In 2010, he represented Ghana in the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher.
The 2007 Ghanaian representative at the Big Brother Africa reality show over the past 2 decades while travelling vastly around the world has been involved in a series of projects that have led to the establishment of various music labels both Ghanaian and international, all of which he is partnered. Amongst these are Warrior Music (Atlanta, Georgia) Pidgen Music (Ghana), and Higher-Life Music
Kwame Farkye is a radio personality who owns New African Movement (NAM) with Adina as a signed artiste. The former XFM presenter who hosted the maiden edition of GH One’s ‘The Next Big Thing’ was introduced to TV by his friend Eddy Blay. The ace radio and TV personality, who is popularly known as Mr Swift has also been involved in event planning, consulting and artiste management. He was one of the event handlers at the Wyclef concert in 2008. For many, the name Kwame Farkye was very synonymous with late after radio. He basically ruled Drive Time radio in the capital in the greater part of the 2000s.
