Ghanaian gospel sensation, Celestine Donkor has disclosed that being active on social media makes you relevant as an artiste.
Speaking to NY DJ on Y 102.5 FM during the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show, the ‘Agbebolo’ hitmaker mentioned that social media is a very important way to stay relevant as an artiste. She also explained that she is very active on social media because she loves interacting with the youth and also likes to be current and fit into the contemporary world.
“I just love to be involved with the youth, I just love to be updated and to be current. It is one very important way to stay relevant as an artiste”, she said.
The award-winning gospel musician also added that she got more interested in the youth after she got married and went back to school to further her education at the university. She described their lives as interesting and as a whole new world.
“I think after I married and started giving birth, that was when I went back to the university, so I kind of found myself mingling with young people. I kind of find their life as a whole world, If I have a choice then I will say they are the audience of my music and I have a large youth following and include them in any of my plans”, she added.
Celestine Donkor encouraged her colleague musicians to take advantage of modern technology and social media to stay relevant and promote their music.
