An endorsement every young and promising artiste will strive for is a recognized artiste endorsing their craft and putting out positive comments in the media about the young artiste.
Few days ago, renowned and established Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie took to his Twitter page to pronounce himself as the number one fan of Kwesi Arthur. The post garnered a lot of talk on social media.
However, young and talented rapper Kwesi Arthur did not react or pass any comments to the post of Sarkodie.
Yesterday, in an interview on Y 107.9 FM with Kojo Manuel during the ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ show, Kwesi Arthur finally broke the silence and reacted to Sarkodie’s comment after he was asked about it.
“My 17 year old self was jumping when I saw that because Sarkodie is one of the biggest artistes here in Ghana. Growing up he was our role model, we listened to him and wanted to be like him.”
He added that Sarkodie’s comment was a validation of his good work and made him feel he was doing good as an artiste.
“Getting that from him, made me feel that I am doing something positive,” he said.
Kwesi Arthur is currently promoting his recently released song ‘Celebrate’ which features Nigerian superstar Teni off his upcoming ‘Son of Jacob’ album.
