Actress and socialite Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has paid the Ghc 12,000.00 court fine pronounced after her appeal on December 15, 2021.
The actress and her lawyers appealed a 90-day imprisonment sentence imposed on the actress by an Accra Circuit court in April 2021 for publishing obscene photos of herself and her son.
The sentence, which was described by lawyers and colleagues of Akuapem Poloo as harsh was overturned by an Accra High Court and granted Ghc 12,000.00 bail, an equivalence of 1000 penalty units and a replacement of the 90-day prison sentence.
In a picture cited by yfmghana.com on social media was a Judicial service receipt in the name of Rosemond Alade Brown for the payment of Ghc 12,000.00 fine paid in full. The payment is believed to have been made by the lawyers and some relatives on Akuapem Poloo’s behalf.
The actress is yet to be released from the Nsawam prison later today and without any charges or pending trials.
