Marketing Manager at Kasapreko Company Limited, Jude Matti, has described the 2021 edition of the YFM Hunters Pool tournament as a great success.
The Pool competition organized by Ghana’s number one urban radio station YFM, in partnership with Kasapreko Company Limited saw participants across seven regions in Ghana participate to hit the billiard ball for glory.
Speaking on Y 102.5 FM’s ‘Myd Morning Radio Show’ with Kay Official, Jude Matti mentioned that Kasapreko had exceeded all targets and all Key Performance Indicators. He added that they were thrilled at the level of participation and interest from participants.
“We have exceeded our internal target; I can share with you the fact that at every participatory pub we had a number of bottles we intended selling to our consumers or participants and we exceed that across the seven regions. So, in terms of the number of people we were expecting to participate and social media presence, we exceeded all our predictions. It’s been amazing and exceeded our imagination as organisers of last year’s pool tournament,” he said.
Jude Matti also mentioned that the Pool tournament was to appreciate consumers of Kasapreko Company Limited who purchased products despite the COVID pandemic and associated difficulties. He further explained the choice and reason for a Pool tournament over other sports.
“We were just appreciating our consumers because the year had been a difficult one, we are still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic but the consumers still stood by the brand. We thought it wise to let them have fun in the last quarter of 2021 and a Pool tournament was the best option for us.”
“Hunters is a global brand and pool tournaments are also worldwide so we thought it wise to organize such a tournament because it is a non-contact sport as well, our consumers will be comfortable to participate especially during the COVID period,” he said.
Jude Matti appreciated the support of YFM and designated venues for the competition. He again mentioned that planning for the 2022 edition of the tournament had commenced and promises to be exciting.
The finals of the YFM Hunters Pool Tournament is slated for January 7, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 11 am prompt. Prizes up for grabs include a trophy and Gh¢ 10,000.00 for the winner and other consolation prizes.
