Linda Amartei, Brands Manager for the Kasapreko Company Limited said the YFM/Hunter’s Pool tournament was an opportunity to bring fun and relaxation to its customers and Ghanaians at large.
She reiterated that the Covid19 period brought boredom and frustration to almost every Ghanaian, with little room for enjoyment. Therefore, it was reasonable to organize the pool game tournament to help people have a bit of what they missed. “We were restricted during Covid so most people either had no fun or had little fun alone in their rooms. Having fun alone cannot be compared to the kind of fun we can have with people around”, she expressed.
During an interview with Ohene Bampoe Brenya on Happy98.9 FM’s Happy Sports Show, the Kasapreko Brands Manager said, “We all know Covid19 brought us so many issues and distance between Ghanaians so as a company, we saw an opportunity to provide a platform to our consumers a contactless sport to relax and enjoy themselves. Covid limited our movement, causing everyone stay indoors for a long time and that made a lot of things dull. We know for a fact that the pool game can be played with few people without necessarily having contact so it was just ideal to bring a contactless sport like the pool game for people to enjoy.”
She further revealed that, Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC) also presented a great platform to help reach out to almost every part of the country. “Our relationship with GMABC goes way back and it has always been a delight working with the organization. There has always been success in our collaborations and it was wise to once again come together to give Ghanaians the best of entertainment. Another reason was GMABC offers the best platform to reach our target market,” she added.
The Pool tournament organized by YFM in collaboration with Hunter’s is set to climax the event with the finale on January 7, 2022 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
