H.E. Anne Sophie Avié shares her reasons for her strong relations with creatives

French ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Anne Sophie Avié, has justified her enviable relationships with creatives and love for music in Ghana and across the globe.

The illustrious diplomat in recent times has been spotted hanging out with some Ghanaian creatives acts and engaging in social media conversations with them.

In her recent interview on Y 107.9 FM with Rev Erskine on the ‘Y Leaderboard Series’l, she mentioned that she grew up in the entertainment industry and a great admirer of music.

“I have always loved music and movies, anytime I am in my car or listening to the radio, I play music and my dad was a head of a record company, so I grew up in the industry,” she said.

H.E. Anne Avié also explained that she liked music because it’s was good medium to bring people together and bridge countries which was similar to diplomacy.

“I believe music is something that links people together, we dance and sing along the same songs whatever our nationalities are or our backgrounds, we all sing along the same songs played in clubs and parties.”

“Music is a very strong bridge and diplomacy is also bridging countries and bridging the people, usic is one of the things that can create a sense of unity because we love wherever we come from,” she said.

she added “What got me close to these artistes is that they are somehow ambassadors of their countries to the world. Whenever Ghanaian artistes perform overseas, there’s always a moment in their concept where they promote Ghana. So, somehow, we are counterparts, I don’t have their talents, but I have that feeling. I believe we have the same the same dedication to promote our countries overseas by respecting the countries we are coming from,” she added.
