GMA’s Paa Kwesi Forson enlisted among mentors for the 4th Comms Mentoring Program

Head of Public Relations for the Global Media Alliance (GMA) Group, Paa Kwesi Forson has been appointed together with notable communication experts from Africa and across the globe, for the fourth batch of the Comms Mentoring Program (CMP) to serve as mentors to listed mentees.

The Comms Mentoring Program (CMB) slated for Saturday, 19th March 2022 was initially launched in August 2020, and initiated to bridge the mentoring gap between senior and younger professionals in the African communications industry. During the previous batches of the CMB, senior communications professionals from Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt among some African countries with participation from the United States dedicated their time to develop potential professionals in the industry.

Being a mentor for the 2022 batch, Paa Kwesi Forson wields an enviable experience in the field of Public Relations Management and Communications; from leading, developing, and implementing PR initiatives for several high profile institutions in Ghana and beyond and being highly proficient in measuring results of PR initiatives.

Paa Kwesi Forson has remarkable aptitude in building and sustaining positive brand image and also contributed to the successes of several organizations in the country. In his line of work, he makes public speaking content creation and the coordination of media events seemingly easy.

In his tenure as the Head of PR for GMA, the brand emerged as the 2020 Public Relations Consultancy of the Year at the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana National Excellence Awards and Presidential Ball.

Speaking on his inclusion as a mentor for this year’s CMP, Paa Kwesi Forson said, “I am honored to be a mentor for this year’s CMP to guide the next generation of communicators together with colleagues from across the globe. I always believe that knowledge kept is knowledge wasted but knowledge shared is recycled for greatness. I look forward to the success of this initiative and urge all mentees to be prepared for glorious days.”

Other senior communications professionals listed as mentors for the fourth batch of the CMP include: Sophia Lissah, Chief Communications Officer, Jospong Group, Godfrey Adejumoh, Corporate Communications Manager, Unilever; Henry Nii Dottey, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications for United Bank for Africa (Ghana); Lerato Chiyangwa, Senior Account Manager, APO Group; Olayinka Edmond, Lead, Internal Communications, Mastercard Foundation; Corazon Mwende, Senior Communications Officer, Kenya Red Cross Society; Titilope Oguntuga, Head, Sustainable Development and Corporate Brand, Lafarge Africa Plc; amongst many other mentors from Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria.

The Comms Avenue is a capacity-building and networking platform for communications professionals across Africa and the world at large. Co-Founded by Adedoyin Jaiyesimi and Sharon-Ann Adaigbe in April 2020, The Comms Avenue currently has over 750 professionals from 15 African countries in its mission-driven professional community. Its vision is to become a close knit and impactful community renowned for producing communications professionals with pan-African and global impact.

Based on its core pillars of capacity-building and networking, The Comms Avenue puts together webinars, knowledge exchange and networking events that allow its community members to learn, upskill, collaborate, and connect with senior communications professionals and colleagues across the African continent and beyond.

So far, over 80 senior professionals from organizations such as Coca-Cola, Stanbic IBTC, Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Global Media Alliance, CrossBoundary, Guinness Nigeria, Hearst UK, Meltwater, African Media Agency, First Bank of Nigeria, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, amongst other world class organizations have been engaged through its programs and events.
