Medikal, one of Ghana’s finest rappers, has debunked any rumors or claims that his joint EP, ‘Cross Roads’ which he put together with Shatta Wale, is made up of old songs.
It is no news that most rappers, especially Shatta Wale, as he has personally said severally, record lots of songs and keep them in their archives for scheduled releases. Based on this, people are of the view that the joint EP by the rappers has some already-recorded songs on them.
Sharing a bit about the EP making process, Medikal shared on the Myd-Morning Radio Show on Y107.9FM that every song on the EP is a fresh record that they worked on together specifically for the album.
“We cooked every song from scratch. It’s not like we carried old songs and put them on the album. We worked on all of them together. Some were recorded at Shatta’s house and some were recorded at my house so we just did it together”, he said.
Asked to name his personal favorites off the EP, Medikal listed ‘Religion’, ‘DTB’ and ‘The Intro’.
Shatta Wale and Medikal, collaborated to give out Ghanaians a beautiful 10-track studio project which they title “Cross Roads EP”. The EP, since its release, has received massive streaming and support from fans of both artistes and is still making waves. The ‘Cross Roads’ EP is available for free download as well as streaming on all digital platforms.
