The third edition of the Y Clash of the DJs organized by Ghana’s most entertaining urban radio brand, YFM brought Ghana to a halt, to serve the Easter party celebrators with some epic display of quality entertainment.
The fiercest DJ clash dubbed, “One tribe. One sound” saw Y-Kumasi (102.5 FM) emerge as the booth with the Premier DJs with a total points of 722 after six rounds at the wheel, delivering crazy mixes. Y-Accra (107.9FM) finished as runner ups as Y-Takoradi (97.9FM) placed third.

The clash however saw a gala performance from newbies of the battle, as the “Lord of the House”, AD DJ and the “Gyaldem DJ”, DJ Coleda displayed their signature with the Afrobeats themed sounds.
Despite being rivals in the contest, the two DJs gave fans delightsome performances in toll-to-toll encounter with the hottest Afrobeats vibe.

DJ Coleda’s performance which caught the hearts of the judges for the night, arguably contributed to the “Killa Squad’s” win of the clash. She earned the endorsement from seasoned DJ and judge of the clash, Andy Kirm.
“What I’ve seen tonight with DJ Coleda, in fact if Takoradi Don’t take care they give up their home. Kudos to DJ Coleda for that performance,” he noted after the end of the Afrobeats round.
The Killa Squad earned Ghs 50,000 worth of prizes including an all-expense paid trip to Dubai as winners of the 2022 edition of the Y Clash of the DJs. The ‘Yvengers’ of Y-Accra who came second with a total score of 703 points received Ghs 30,000 cash plus an all-expense paid trip tour any destination within Ghana. The second runners up Y Hot Squad of Y Takoradi won Ghs 10,000 cash and products worth Ghs 1,500 from sponsors with a total score of 671.

DJ Edita from Y-Takoradi retained his title from last year as the Best Performing DJ winning Ghs 1000 plus products from sponsors. Kojo Manuel from Y-Accra also won Ghs 1000 for the Outstanding Hypeman performance of the night.
Y Clash of DJs, is a healthy intra-competition between DJs of the YFM Triangle (Y97.9FM-Takoradi, Y107.9FM-Accra and Y102.5FM-Kumasi) for bragging rights for which member of the triangle has the best DJs and Hypeman.
