Ghanaian music producer, DatBeatGod, born Kwaku Oware, has disclosed his decision for venturing into the career path.
Having always wanted to be a musician, DatBeatGod decided to study music production in order to produce his own unique sounds for his music but unknown to him, God had other plans in store for him.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel on Y107.9FM’s ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe Show’, DatBeatGod who started music production some 14 years ago as a student in Accra Academy disclosed, “I started production some 13-14 years ago and that’s what I have been doing ever since. It was always the plan to be a producer.”
I actually started out to learn music production for my music so I started learning for myself. Because I was in the studio all the time, people started asking to make beast for them at a fee and I did.”
His music production career took off from there and he has never looked back. DatBeatGod not forgetting his desire to pursue music still records great tunes when producing sounds for other artistes.
The jack of all trades is also a specialist in Sound Engineering and Mixing and Mastering.
Y107.9FM’s ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe show’ has taken it upon itself to throw more light on music producers and their importance in the entertainment industry as they don’t the credit they (music producers) deserve.
