President Akufo Addo has come under fire for his poor leadership and the nation’s economic woes from Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Andrea Owusu, better known by her stage name Efia Odo.
In a recent social media post, President Akufo-Addo announced that the French University of Sorbonne has awarded him an honorary doctorate.
Today, I was presented with an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Sorbonne, in Paris, France, one of the most prestigious universities in Europe and the world, in recognition of my commitment to entrenching the values of democracy in Ghana, 1/3 pic.twitter.com/T7h3bQLTSd

The President joined Nelson Mandela, Kofi Annan, and Amartya Sen in getting an honorary doctorate from the university.
Efia Odo, a fervent opponent of Ghana’s president, has expressed her disgust with him for mismanaging the economy and subjecting Ghanaians to hardship and difficulties at home.
Efia Odo criticised NPP leader Akufo Addo on social media, saying he ought to fix the nation instead of taking pleasure in Ghanaians’ misery and making their lives unpleasant.
#FixTheCountry @NAkufoAddo you’re incompetent and cold hearted. God will judge you accordingly.

She pleaded with Nana Addo to mend the nation.
As she called Akufo Addo before God for judgement, Efia Odo continued by referring to him as the most inept president Ghanaians had ever seen.
One of the few famous people that launched the #FixTheCountry protest was Efia Odo. when teens and young adults demonstrated in the streets in 2021 over the country’s economic situation.
Her post followed cries from many Ghanaians about the country’s difficulties.
