The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts & Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey has charged creatives to join hands & bring back the, once upon a time, vibrant Kumawood film industry back to life at the Akwaaba Magic Creative Industry Seminar.
Speaking at the Akwaaba Magic Creatives Industry Seminar, held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at thd Golden Bean Hotel, Kumasi, he commended the stakeholders who stood up & projected the Kumawood movie industry.

He specifically called on Miracle films, Paul Gee & other movie makers to collaborate in bringing back the Kumawood film industry.
Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey again encouraged film makers & other players to capitalize on the opportunities with DStv & GOtv & revive the Kumawood, saying “The World has shifted from hard copy to soft copy.”
The deputy arts & culture minister touched on the business side of the ethics. “There is no synergy if the show & business side of the film industry do not go hand-in-hand”, the deputy minister stated.
He encouraged Kumawood industry players to think global & ready themselves for contest. He said, ‘We should begin to think global with our film industry, which means we should be ready for competition.’
