Ghanaian ragga prodigy and songwriter, J. Derobie has revealed what inspired him to cook up his recently released song titled ‘Adwoa’ with Nigeria’s profound hitmaker Joeboy.

The song, ‘Adwoa’, is the sixth among the ten tracks on J. Derobie’s ‘Grains from Love & Reality’ album released in 2022 and the second out of two songs which featured artistes. He described the album as an album that basically speaks about what goes on in and around society and a contains a compendium of what he has experienced in life.

The Afrobeat artiste unveiled the inspiration embedded in the sweet tune titled Adwoa on Saturday, December 31, 2022 in an interview on Y107.9FM’s YCampusExpress with host Jonny Stone while he described how the collaboration between himself and Joeboy came about.

The ‘Poverty’ hitmaker revealed that a lady called Adwoa who happened to be at a get-together with him inspired him to make the song. “We were just partying and chilling; there was this girl around called Adwoa; she is just a vibe.” The young artiste highlighted an evident elation he had while recording the song about the said lady. He later mentioned that the song was also made for every other girl called Adwoa and tagged all ladies who are known by that name as a ‘vibe’.
