Ghanaian hip hop artiste, Mohamed Ismail Sherif, known globally in the music circle as Black Sherif has indicated his optimism about winning the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Album of the Year.
The VGMA, an award scheme which comprises of various categories in the music fraternity, nominated Black Sherrif’s ‘Villian I Never Was’ album as part of the list of albums that stand to win Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 24th edition’s Album of the Year.
Black Sherrif in an interview, with popular Ghanaian YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon stated, “I am going in for the Album of The Year. I’m taking it.” he shared.
Blacko, despite his optimism of winning the VGMA Album of The Year, acknowledged that winning the seven other awards he has been nominated for is more of a probability. “The rest of the awards are a fifty-fifty affair for me.” he shared as he described the Album of The Year award as his ‘baby’.
The 24th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2023, at the Grand Arena of the International Conference Centre.
