Nigerian Artiste Lussh has shared his perspective on the music industry as he advocates for music diversity in the space.
In a recent interview with Rev Erskine on Y 107.9 FM’s “Myd Morning Radio Show,” the Nigerian artiste believes that despite their faith, artistes could explore the potency of circular music.
The talented producer and songwriter expressed his belief that there is music for every moment and that not all musicians need to be gospel artistes.
“We’ve gotten to understand that music is diverse and there’s music for every time. There’s a song for every moment and long as there’s gospel there’s also every other one. So it’s okay to do any other music other than gospel. For me it’s always about the heart. If you have a clean heart towards your neighbours and the next person then you’re fine just doing what you do best”
Lussh earlier acknowledged that his visibility has increased as he steps into the forefront as an artiste. He revealed that the church, which he has been associated with, has been supportive of his musical endeavours, offering prayers for his success.
“The church sees what I’m going up and about, and I believe they support me with prayers.”
Lussh’s perspective challenges the traditional notion that all faith-based musicians are expected to exclusively produce gospel music. He emphasizes the importance of having a genuine heart and good intentions rather than being limited by the genre of music one chooses to create.
The Nigerian artiste’s commitment to embracing music diversity resonates with his growing fan base, who appreciate his ability to connect with them through various musical styles.
Lussh is currently in Ghana promoting his debut project dubbed, “6foot Lover Boy”– a love-themed album.
