Ghanaian artiste, Mr. Drew has disclosed that he had no such thing as a management team during his time with his former record label, Highly Spiritual.
The award-winning music star in an interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Dryve of Your Lyfe” with Kojo Manuel indicated that he has been an independent artiste since the beginning of the year after the expiration of his contract with the label.
He also opened up about his past experiences with his former team at Highly Spiritual and shed light on the dynamics within the group. While discussing his current projects, Mr. Drew briefly touched upon the subject, clarifying misconceptions surrounding his previous setup.
“I wouldn’t want to talk about what happened between me and my team at Highly Spiritual,” Mr. Drew shared candidly during the interview. “Of course, Highly Spiritual was the label and I had my team under the label. People thought it was a personal management team, but it wasn’t. There was a manager and some boys, but I wouldn’t want to talk about all that now.”
Mr. Drew’s revelation has provided insight into the structure of his former association. Contrary to popular belief, the artiste emphasized that his team at Highly Spiritual did not function as a conventional management team. Instead, it comprised a manager and a group of individuals working alongside him.
Despite his decision not to delve into the details of his previous working relationship, Mr. Drew expressed his present focus on his upcoming EP. The talented artiste appears determined to channel his energy and attention into his new musical endeavours, leaving behind any past issues that may have arisen within his former team.
Mr. Drew has released his first single of the year dubbed “Tomorrow” ahead of his much-awaited EP promised.
