Ghanaian Drill artiste, Yaw Tog in an exclusive interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Dryve of Your Lyfe,” hinted the release of his next album as he assures fans of an emotional and introspective journey that reflects his life experiences and growth within the music industry thus far.
Yaw Tog has previously been in the trends largely on issues and mishaps with the popular “Kumerican” group, Asaaka as well as some misgivings with staying afloat after his record hit “Sore”.
However, speaking to Princess AJ, Yaw Tog reiterated his unwavering passion for creating music that resonates with his audience.
Yaw Tog revealed, “Everything that goes on in my life goes into my music because that’s what we are actually talking about. It’s literally about preaching whatever we do. So if we’re living it, we need to express it. Trust me, everything I’ve experienced in the industry within this short period will be in the album.”
He disclosed that his much-awaited album dubbed, “Young and Matured is set to be released in September – promising to offer a window into the artiste’s soul, providing listeners with an intimate glimpse into his life, dreams and aspirations.
The young artiste also acknowledged that his journey has been full of ups and downs, but he firmly believes that the lows were essential for his personal and artistic growth.
“My lows needed to happen for the growth I’m experiencing to happen,” Yaw Tog confessed. “It really changed me into something different, something that I never expected. We’re good though, and we continue to push through.”
Amidst the challenges he faced in the industry, Yaw Tog has remained resolute in his determination to succeed. He expressed his current mood, stating, “My current mood is just to focus and build the brand, the album is about to drop, my business, and just being myself, literally.”
