Ghanaian sensational singer, Titi Owusu has made a bold statement, declaring her latest single “Make Me Believe” as the undeniable “Record of the Year.”
The Ghanaian star in a recent interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Ryse n Shyne” expressed confidence in the song’s potential to reach the top and connect with audiences on a profound level.
With unwavering conviction, Titi Owusu revealed that she and her team are tirelessly working towards securing the coveted title of “Record of the Year.” She hopes that the higher-ups in the music industry will recognize the song’s brilliance and be able to resonate with it just as she does.
“I believe this is record of the year and we’re definitely working on it to get there. Hopefully the people at the top see it the way I do and they can connect with it as well,” she told Brown Berry, host of Ryse ‘n’ Shyne.
Titi also opened up about the emotional journey she experienced while recording “Make Me Believe.” She described how the powerful lyrics of the song touched her heart and she firmly believes that listeners from all walks of life will be able to find solace and understanding in its message.
“It was an emotional experience when we first recorded the song. Once you hear the lyrics you can relate to it and I feel a lot of people can easily relate to it,” she said.
She indicated that what sets “Make Me Believe” apart is the incorporation of her Akan heritage, which she considers a true blessing. She emphasized that delving into her roots added a distinct and authentic flavour to the track, making it even more special and meaningful for her personally.
“The fact that we had to incorporate my Akan heritage even made it 10x better. This is going down to my root so I really enjoyed doing this,” she added.
