Culture Management Group (CMG) has announced that UK-based Nigerian rapper, J Hus will no longer be performing at the highly anticipated Afrofuture Festival 2023.
The announcement, made through a statement released by CMG, cited “unforeseen circumstances outside of our control” as the reason for J Hus’s withdrawal from the festival lineup.
Despite this setback, organizers are determined to deliver an unforgettable experience for festival-goers and loyal supporters. Promising a Detty December filled with music, energy, and culture, CMG assured fans that they are committed to maintaining the festival’s high standards.
“Despite these changes, we’re still committed to giving our festival fans and our dedicated supporters an unforgettable experience this Detty December. Be sure to stay tuned as we announce our powerhouse musical lineup for afrofuture 2023,” the statement read
The Afrofuture Festival 2023 had initially announced a star-studded lineup featuring Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, J Hus and Black Sherif as the headliners.
The festival, set to take place at El Wak Sports Stadium in Accra, Ghana, is sponsored by powerhouse brands including TuneCore, YouTube, Black Ambition, Topicals, Martell, and Jameson.
In light of J Hus’s withdrawal, organizers are now gearing up to reveal the powerhouse musical lineup that will take the stage in his absence.
