Rosebank International University College (RIUC), a member of the ADvTECH Group and partly owned by the World Bank through the International Finance Corporation (IFC), has officially been launched in Accra.
The ceremony brought together government officials, parliamentarians, and education leaders.
Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, commended RIUC for the milestone and assured the government’s support in creating an enabling environment for the university to thrive.
Other dignitaries included Deputy Minister of Communications Edem Agbana, MPs from Yendi, Sunyani West, and Guan, as well as Rev. John Ntim Fordjour. The Director of Academics represented the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and endorsed RIUC as a credible and reliable institution for higher learning.
President of RIUC, Dr. Linda Meyer, in her keynote address, outlined the university’s mission to provide internationally accredited, career-focused education supported by modern facilities and strong student support systems.
RIUC is accredited by GTEC, the British Accreditation Council (BAC), City and Guilds UK, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), and Capsicum Culinary Studio. It offers globally recognised programmes in Business, ICT, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and related fields.
The launch, marked by endorsements from high-profile dignitaries, positions RIUC as a new player in Ghana’s higher education sector, with a focus on equipping students with practical skills and global competencies.
