Radio for the young and young at heart,Y107.9FM is gearing up to celebrate fathers and father figures in a unique and impactful way with its upcoming “Dads on the Move” campaign, a Father’s Day initiative aimed at promoting men’s health and raising awareness about prostate cancer.
The event, scheduled to take place on Saturday June,20 2026, will bring together fathers, families, health professionals, and fitness enthusiasts for a day filled with fun, wellness, and education. The campaign seeks to encourage men to prioritize their health while creating opportunities for bonding and engagement.
Activities lined up for the event include a health walk, aerobics session, free health screening, cooking contest, mini games, a soccer tournament, and an exciting kenkey party. Participants will also have access to information and expert guidance on prostate cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment options.
Speaking ahead of the event, Programmes Manager of YFM Accra, Erskine Amo Whyte, emphasized the importance of creating awareness around men’s health while celebrating fatherhood.
