The Ambassador of France to Ghana, Her Excellency Diarra Dimé-Labille, has expressed confidence in the strength and longevity of relations between France and Ghana, describing the partnership as one that is built to endure.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with YFM during the commemoration of France’s National Day – Bastille Day, at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra, the Ambassador reflected on the significance of the occasion and the continued cooperation between France and its international partners, including Ghana.
According to her, France’s longstanding engagement with countries around the world demonstrates the strength of its diplomatic ties and commitment to international collaboration.
“The Ghana-France relationship is one which is sure to last,” she stated, highlighting the deepening bonds between the two nations across various sectors.
Reflecting on Bastille Day celebrations, Ambassador Dimé-Labille noted that France has come a long way in its national journey, a progress she believes is evident in the country’s extensive network of global partnerships and cooperation agreements.
She further acknowledged that while nations continue to face challenges on the international stage, strong partnerships remain essential to overcoming them.
“The relationship between France and many other countries is great. Of course we are facing challenges and we will overcome them,” she said.
The Bastille Day celebration brought together government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, and guests from various sectors to commemorate France’s national identity while reaffirming the strong ties between France and Ghana.
The event also served as a platform to celebrate the growing cooperation between the two countries in areas including culture, education, business, development, and diplomacy.
