The family of late Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo Baah has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ghanaians for the love, prayers and support extended to them following her passing and during her final funeral rites.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Beverly’s elder daughter Violin Bless Ayebea Boadu Baah thanked friends, fans, colleagues and well-wishers who stood with them through the difficult period.
Reflecting on the period of grief, she acknowledged the emotional weight of losing her mother but said the presence and support of Ghanaians gave the family strength to navigate the difficult moments.
“It was a very difficult time, but having you by our side brought us comfort and strength.”
Beverly Afaglo was laid to rest on Saturday, August 8, 2026, following her final funeral rites at the forecourt of the State House in Accra. The ceremony brought together family, friends, colleagues from the creative arts industry and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate her life and pay their final respects.
Her children also paid tribute to their mother, remembering the love and lessons she gave them, while her husband, musician Choirmaster, delivered an emotional farewell to his late wife, describing her as his wife, best friend, soulmate and the mother of their two daughters.
The family’s message comes after weeks of public mourning and an outpouring of support for Beverly, whose career in Ghana’s film industry spanned more than two decades. She was also known for her entrepreneurial ventures, including Traffic Shawarma.
Beverly Afaglo died on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42, after a reported two-year battle with cancer.
